August tradition Take-Home

Love By the Month

Love by the Month is a wonderful traditon that will keep you connected to those far away family members. Nurture those relationships by sending them an envelop once-a-month full of love and tidbits of your family's dailiy life. Pin one up on a bulleting board in the kitchen or family room where everyone can see it. Whenever you have exra photos, extra artwork of school work, a favorite recope, or a magazine article that might be of interest, slip it in. Add a personal note at the end of the month, and you will have a delightful gift to send off to Grandma Rose, Uncle Bob or cousin Eddy.

The Courage brochure featuring: "Five Ways to Encourage Courage"
5 Fourth of July tradition ideas Cards
Keepsake instructions for the
While I'm Away Box

& Pet Album

Dedicate this month to talking about courage and how our fears limit the quality of life we experience. Give each family member a CONQUER WITH COURAGE box. Have them write down anything they can think of that they are afraid of or would like to do if they weren't scared. Everyone picks out one fear to try to conquer for the month and shares it with the rest of the family. Listen, validate, and be supportive. Help each other think of ways to conquer your fears. At the end of the month, the family should talk about how everyone has done and ceremoniously dispose of those little slips of papers. For more information go to Once Upon a Family

After decades of trying to do it all and taking care of everyone else, they have decided they deserve to live, laugh, love a little too. And so do you!Every Live, Laugh, Love Club Workshop is different and each one focuses on the upcoming holiday, a cherished family value and an important keepsake project.

The experiment -- Live, Laugh, Love Club Blogging

I have set this blog up to use with our Live, Laugh, Love clubs. I think Blogging can be a great forum for the clubs, and for those on-line members. I always like to have a "map" for my journey, but this is uncharted -- so I am jumping in and going to see where it will lead us!
